CDE Showcase Sustainable Supply Chain in ITN Business Feature

CDE, a leading provider of wet processing solutions for the natural and waste recycling sectors, has teamed with ITN Business on its Responsible, Sustainable, Essential Minerals programme which explores the role of the mineral industry in the journey towards net zero.

Launching today, Wednesday 4th December, the programme explores how organisations are prioritising sustainable practices across the industry, with CDE highlighting the importance of its solutions in transforming waste streams into in-spec sand and aggregates.

With sand being the second most consumed material in the world and increasing demand for sand and aggregates in construction projects across the globe, CDE’s solutions are supporting businesses in extracting value from waste streams and diverting more waste from landfill.

Commenting on the importance of highlighting the opportunities when it comes to adding value to waste materials, David Kinloch, Director of UK & Ireland, Middle East & Africa and Australasia at CDE, said: “It’s been a pleasure to work with ITN Business and the Mineral Products Association (MPA) on this programme, to showcase how our solutions are helping customers become more sustainable.

“For over thirty years CDE has been offering innovative wet processing solutions to add value to construction waste materials so that they can be repurposed in the market. We’re currently focusing on three main areas to support our customers; tackling difficult waste streams to divert more from landfill, increasing the value of output products and maximising yield of outputs from the waste resource.”

Featured in the programme is SRC Group, which has been working with CDE over the past twelve years to deliver twelve projects across the UK.

The programme also features The Malcolm Group who are extending the life of their hard rock reserves by processing construction, demolition and excavation waste into sustainable construction grade outputs with a 150tph CDE wash plant in Scotland.

The ITN Business programme is in association with MPA, a trade association formed in 2009 for UK mineral products operating companies across its 14 product groups.
