Greener Valley Sands Wash Plant

Supporting Local Construction Market

Greener Lawn, a family-owned and operated turf supplier based on the banks of the Hawkesbury River in western Sydney, is set to make an entrance to the sand and aggregates space with a significant investment in a wash plant designed and engineered by us at CDE. They have expanded their business with a new venture to specialise in wholesale bulk sand supply and delivery throughout New South Wales.

The Team at Greener Lawn have decided to keep their new exciting branched off business as a separate company which has been given the name Greener Valley Sands.

The family quarry has a large reserve of the finest quartz sandsoil and aggregates for the local and regional construction industry. The new sand washing plant will be commissioned at Greener Lawn’s site on the banks of the Hawkesbury River, where the Muscat family have been growing quality instant turf since 1990.

In addition to their successful turf sales, the venture into natural processing will open up an additional revenue stream for the company, washing and transforming sand from their site to alleviate the shortage in Sydney being faced by the local construction market.

The team at Greener Valley Sands were invited to visit two existing CDE projects in Queensland to see similar solutions up close and to discuss the significance they have had on their operations.

After these visits and consultation with our team, Greener Lawn made the decision to invest in a 100TPH solution including dual EvoWash™ sand washing plants, a ProGrade screen, a dredge, a sump tank, a big radial conveyor, and a control module.

Given the company’s location upon a flood plain, the modular nature of our technology allows for the control module to be separated from the plant and mounted on trailer, in the event of flooding to allow transport offsite.

“We knew that CDE have heaps of experience with companies like ours, but it meant a lot that we were able to get out and see the equipment working so well for other businesses and hear first-hand about the impact it has made. CDE really took everything that is unique to Greener Lawn on board, right down to the land on which we operate, and have optimised our plant to suit us. The adoption of this innovative technology will open us to a whole new market and we are looking forward to the future with CDE as a partner.”
Nick Muscat, Director of Greener Valley Sands

Jason Hartmann, Business Development Manager at CDE, said, “Our new partnership with Greener Valley Sands is built on strong foundations laid over time. This is a totally new venture for the company, and we have made efforts to ensure that they felt supported, safe in the knowledge that they were working with experts who would be on-hand throughout the journey.

Our solutions have been developed over 30 years of engineering excellence, just as the Muscat family at Greener Lawn have been providing quality turf to the Sydney region for the same length of time. Both companies share similar values regarding customer service and distinction. We look forward to working together with the team as they transform their operations for the better.”
