CDE, a global leader in wet processing solutions, is excited to announce an exclusive virtual tour of Brewster Brothers’ 150tph construction and demolition waste recycling plant, strategically positioned near Cumbernauld, in Scotland, UK.
With a growing global imperative to reduce the amount of waste generated by the construction industry, the huge success of Brewster Brothers has demonstrated to the world that more sustainable methods are attainable and profitable.
The upcoming event, taking place on 12th September at 10am, will explore sustainable solutions in an industry grappling with significant environmental challenges. The webinar will provide valuable insights into how companies can harness the power of waste resources, while maintaining high levels of productivity and minimising the negative impact of construction on the planet.
The construction industry is currently responsible for 40% of the UK’s carbon emissions and consumes 50% of its natural resources. In response to these alarming statistics, Brewster Brothers have made significant investment to develop a brand-new facility that not only doubles their capacity but also promotes the use of recycled materials, pioneering the way towards a circular economy in Scotland.
“The construction industry has a crucial role to play in the conscious management of natural resources,” said Fergal Campbell, Business Development Manager at CDE. “Brewster Brothers’ recycling plant is a benchmark for what can be achieved with the right equipment and a commitment to considered practices.”
1.35 MILLION TONNES AND COUNTING...
The progress that Brewster Brothers has made is paving the way for more future success. With their first operational plant responsible for diverting 1.35 million tonnes of waste from landfill and optimised to process up to 400,000 tonnes of construction and demolition waste annually, Brewster Brothers were eager to expand their operations and maximise productivity.
“With the support of CDE’s products, we are excited to service new product markets, a new geographical market… and we are producing a quality product that is fit for use in higher value applications,” said Scott Brewster, Managing Director at Brewster Brothers.
With ambitious targets to service up to 50% of the Scottish construction market and minimise carbon footprint, this ongoing collaboration project between CDE and Brewster Brothers is a shining example of how CDE’s innovative design and advanced technology can drive sustainability in construction and waste management.
Join Scott Brewster and Fergal Campbell on 12th September at 10am to witness how CDE’s cutting-edge wet processing equipment is employed to transform waste into valuable recycled materials, such as high-quality sand and aggregates, which are essential for construction projects.
