REGISTER FOR OUR STEM CELL DONOR DRIVE
At CDE, we offer support in the form of sponsorship or volunteering to charities and causes in our local communities that meet specific criteria such as helping vulnerable and critically ill young people and those most in need.
Recently we heard of a young person in need of a bone marrow match in our local community. As one of the largest employers in the area, we would like to hold our own donor drive which has the potential to find a life-saving match for someone on the stem cell register.*
The sampling process is very quick and easy. Each person will take a swab sample from the inside of their mouth which is then analysed to determine their tissue characteristics. This information is then added to DKMS' global donor pool to help find matches for those in need.
To find a match for one patient, it takes roughly 800 donors. If you are contacted as a potential match for a patient, you have the choice of two methods to donate:
