CDE unveils new Global Centre of Excellence and announces important investment in local skills.
CDE, the industry-leading solutions provider of wet processing equipment has, today (Thursday, February 21), officially opened its new global headquarters in Cookstown, County Tyrone, and announced an innovative new programme to invest in the skills of young people in the area.
Having grown the team by 65% over the last 2 years, the company plans to create an additional 150 new jobs by 2020. Its new facility, unveiled to the local community this morning, can accommodate over 400 people and is now home to the world’s largest engineering team dedicated to wet processing technologies.
CDE Talent Camp
At the event, the firm also announced the creation of CDE Talent Camp, which will run between 24th and 28th June this year. It will provide 15-17-year-olds from schools and colleges across Northern Ireland with the opportunity to take their first steps into engineering and to explore how a world-class business operates.
Following an application process, 20 pupils will be selected to spend an action-packed week at CDE’s new base, meeting its engineers, exploring its operations, and gaining invaluable engineering and business experience. The company’s talent team will also be on hand to provide training, advice, and coaching.
CDE is an industry-leading solutions provider of equipment for the construction, mining, industrial sands, environmental and construction & demolition waste industries. Over the last 25 years, the company has designed and installed almost 2,000 turnkey wet processing solutions across the world.
